Welcome to the Nutrition Lab!

A network for evidence-based science, nutrition, and how it fits into your real, bold life

About The Nutrition Lab

The Nutrition Lab is founded on bringing nutrition science to real life in an understandable, accessible, and evidence-based way

The Nutrition Lab platform is a free membership platform that builds connection between the "how," the "why," the science, and the real actual life.

Inside the free membership you'll get access to topic posts, weekly wins, Q&As, community, and cool implementable nutrition discussions and science to help you bust through the BS.

The Nutrition Lab might be for you if:

  • You want to build a foundation for nutrition, for life
  • You want to learn how to actually fuel yourself, and do it simply, using science (and your actual life) and not shame
  • You're a life-long learner, but want things broken down in a way that you can directly implement them
  • You want the "how" and the "why" rather than just surface level info, and you're tired of surfing through the BS online and want actual evidence-based info from experts in the field

The Nutrition Lab houses a private group membership for nutrition, fitness, and health professionals called Nutrition Lab PRO. The platform also currently houses two courses, Fuel Your Cell Sack 101 and Intro to Metabolism (with more to come later!!) and additional resources that delve into the how and why behind nutrition for people interested in learning the basics and the science behind metabolism!

The inside offers 👇👇👇

The Nutrition Lab PRO is a paid private membership group within the Nutrition Lab specifically for nutrition, fitness, and health PROs.

Who this membership is for:

  • Nutrition/fitness/health professionals and coaches who want to build their skills in learning/reading research
  • PROs who prioritize evidence-based practice and want to build a solid foundation to implement with their clients or audiences
  • Life-long learners who want to dive into nutrition, science, and research topics that allow them to ask questions
  • PROs who may feel like science wasn't for them, but now realize the importance of it and want to reconnect (but your bio class would be jealous)

A membership to this group gets you:

  • Deeper dive science posts explained in an understandable way on topics related to nutrition and metabolism, research methods and terminology, finding and reading research, implementing evidence-based practice, accessibility, working with clients and more
  • Access to a monthly journal club meeting with members, guest expert contribution articles, interactive components, a platform to ask questions, and video content. New content is being added every week!
  • Downloadable resources provided to you, a community of fellow health pros, discussions, and references to follow with up to date info!
  • Both courses are included in membership
  • Current monthly member price: $29.99/month

Course Access Membership

The current Course Access Membership allows Nutrition Lab members who aren't in The Nutrition Lab PRO to get access to course content for a low monthly membership rate (currently $9.99, but big changes are coming to the courses soon!)

The courses 👇

  • The nutrition basics, the foundation, the bread + butter (literally) of basic nutrition education with a splash more of the science than your typical basic nutrition content would have. We're not just learning "carbs are good" here...we're also talking about how and why! This course gets you started on building knowledge for life.
  • This course is useful for individuals who may not have a background in nutrition but want to learn the basics to help them build a foundation of nutrition science and implementation IRL.
  • Course content includes: the macronutrients (and digestion), energy need basics and how to estimate it, how to keep track (or not keep track) of your nutrition, tracking "progress," making better goals,  growing your appreciation for your cell sack, and more!
  • Additional topic posts give you more learning about all things nutrition, implementing IRL, and busting through the BS (so you can learn to do it and implement it yourself)
  • Access to this course through the Course Access Membership for $9.99/month

  • Intro to Metabolism covers the basics of energy metabolism and makes your old school biochem course jealous. This course covers the basics of how your cell sack makes and uses energy and what metabolism really is. Sure we'll cover things like the Krebs Cycle, but before you get nervous, this course is all about WHAT IT ACTUALLY MEANS and how it connects to nutrition (and not just memorization and regurgitation). This course is a little heavier on the science than Fuel Your Cell Sack 101, but still broken down and communicated in a way that is easily understood!
  • This course is useful for people who want to learn more or brush up on metabolism, or individuals who have taken introductory science courses who want to learn more about metabolism in general.
  • Course content includes: what metabolism is (including basis definitions, energy currencies, and more), metabolism in our cells (covering the major energy producing pathways), whole body metabolism (metabolic rate, metabolic states, metabolic flexibility, and hormone influences/age), and coming soon, info about metabolic systems in movement and exercise!
  • Additional topic posts give you more about metabolism, science backgrounds, body processes, and mythbusting.
  • Access to this course through the Course Access Membership for $9.99/month
